Tinkercad is an easy-to-use tool for creating digital designs that are ready to be 3D printed into physical objects. Students are guided through the 3D design process through 'Lessons', which teach the basics before moving on to more complex modeling techniques.
Tinkercad provides ample opportunity for us to apply our knowledge of area and perimeter, measurement, measurement conversion, decimals and fractions in a real world setting, planes, volume, geometry and so much more.
Tinkercad has great tutorials. I encourage everyone to take the time to explore Tinkercad, as we plan to use it through much of the year in our Makerspace. Click on the picture and start inventing! Use your imagination....
